Canyon View

President: Ariana Taylor

Hi! My name is Ariana Taylor and I play the violin in chamber. I also play the cello and a little bit of mandolin. Besides music, I like to play almost any sport, travel, hang out with friends and visit my Grandparents Ranch! I am super excited to be an orchestra officer this year! If you have any suggestions or need any help let me know, I'd be glad to help!

Vice President: Angelica Thomas

  Hello there my friends!  My name is Angelica Thomas, but most people just call me "Chicken-head."  Because, I really love my pet chickens!   I am a 9th grader at CVJH with a great love for people, so when you meet me we will probably become really good friends! I am a very strong believer in working together to build unity.  To help us all get to know each other, we as your officers will be hosting some SUPER FUN workshops and parties this year!

I love art, figure skating, and especially MUSIC! I am a passionate violinist and I absolutely LOVE being a part of our amazing orchestra!  Ms. Jimenez is the coolest teacher ever!  I also enjoy fiddling, composing on the piano, singing, and being musically creative.

This will be a WONDERFUL year, and I am so excited to get to know you!  If you ever need anything at all, just let me or one of the other officers know.  We are here to help!  Now have yourself a jolly day and remember to be yourself, try your best, be kind, and come to orchestra with a smile!  See you there!!   :)

Secretary: Tatiana Jensen

Hey I'm Tatiana. I play the cello at Canyon View Jr. High. My other interests besides the cello include drawing, dancing, and playing volleyball. I am in orchestra because I want to explore the different elements of music. The reason why I am an officer is because I want to help others achieve their goals and have a wonderful experience in this musical journey. A few fun facts about me: I have super long hair, and I am amberdextrious!

Librarian: Emily Anderson

Hi, I’m Emily!!! I play the violin. I also play a little cello and piano. I LOVE to sing and dance!!! I also love being with my family and friends! I am in orchestra because it is such a fun class where you learn a ton! I wanted to be an officer because I wanted to help everyone in orchestra to have a really fun year!!! I’m really excited to be your librarian this year!!!

Librarian: Jessica Cecil

Hey! My name is Jessica Cecil. I play the cello. Some of my hobbies are singing, dancing and being in the school musicals. I also love to babysit for my two youngest brothers. I’m in orchestra because I love playing the cello and being surrounded by the great students orchestra brings. I decided to be an officer when I was a T.A. for Miss. Jimenez last year. I loved helping her and the other students in orchestra. Something interesting about me is I love to camp, hike and be in the outdoors.

Oak Canyon 

President: Bitz Barzeele

Greetings!! My name is Elizabeth Barzeele, but everyone calls me Bitz. I love playing Violin in chamber with Ms. J and all my orchestra friends. I adore being in orchestra because of the fun songs we get to play and the people I get to meet who share the same love of music I have. In addition to playing music I enjoy drawing, nature, friends and working at Castle Park which is also my home. One thing most people don’t know about me is that I’m home-schooled part time, and yes I do like it. I am wonderfully thrilled to be an officer this year and hope we can become great friends! If you have any questions, comments, doubts, Ideas, or just want to chat. Come talk to me!!! I always love a good conversation, and would jump at the opportunity to get to know you better!!

Vice President: Andrew Reich

My name is Andrew Reich and I play the String Bass in Chamber.  I also play the Bass Guitar, piano, cello, and the Vietnamese nose flute.  My favorite genre of music is Jazz.  When I'm not practicing I like to draw and hang out with my friends. And when I can't do any of that I also like to bike and play soccer.  I'm 5' 10'' and my favorite color is orange. My favorite subject in school besides music is science.  I became an officer because I like to serve other people and help them be the best they can.



 Secretary: Tracy Evelyn

My name is Tracy Evelyn. I am the middle child of 7. I play the viola in Chamber and am the Secretary. I became an officer to help all notice the best in them self. I dance at a private studio and am challenging myself this year by taking AP Geography. Just recently I have started my own mending and alteration business. This year is going to be great!


Librarian: Shanden Hoffman

Hi, I'm Shanden Hoffman! I play the violin, the #1 most awesome and incredible instrument ever made! I love music, and the violin helps me express myself through the music I play. Along with the violin, I play the piano and a little bit of the flute.

Soccer is definitely my favorite sport, but I also like to play basketball, football, and tennis. I don't do track but I love to run and feel the wind rush past me as I'm jogging. Ever since kindergarten I always thought it would be really cool if I could learn the violin someday. 7 years later I was picking my classes for my 1^st year at Oak Canyon and I decided to play the violin in orchestra! I've had an amazing 2 years and when Ms. Jimenez told my class about the officers, I jumped at the opportunity! All the previous officers looked like they were having such a great time and I wanted to have that same experience!

Some fun facts about me are: I am really short, I do ballroom dance, I have 12 other siblings, 8 brothers and 4 sisters! My whole family was adopted except for me, and I am the youngest of the 13 kids. I also love math and English! I am super excited for this year and lets all work together to make it the best one yet!
